  1. Attach your submission as a Word doc or a PDF

  2. Include author name and the title of the piece

  3. Additional info:

  • Visual works: include the year created and medium

  • Poetry: send 1-3 poems in a single document

  • Prose: 1500 word limit in our print issues, but longer prose may be published online

Notes:

We welcome submissions from alumni and non-Bates authors and artists! We also review larger portfolios or collections.

Staff members juggle a variety of responsibilities, including running creative writing or zine-making workshops, organizing readings and events, reaching out to community members, and working on the website & social media.

We are always looking for applicants with experience in general design/layout (Adobe InDesign)
